Anne-Marie & Cillian // Tankardstown House Wedding
With elegance, class and fire! Anne-Marie & Cillian's wedding featured naps, straight razor shaves, a flash mob band and amazing evening evening entertainment. Full of surprises and worth the watch.
FROM THE BRIDE
"Cillian and I met through UCD Volunteers Overseas in Tanzania in 2010. 20 of us went with 100 computers and installed them in five schools. Our first contact was really when I was showing Cillian how to wire a computer network in one of the schools! It took five weeks before he worked up the courage to ask me out!
We went to Marrakesh for my birthday in December 2015. After we arrived, we ordered a bottle of wine and went to the rooftop of the riad for some stargazing. Since it was my birthday, Cillian had written a card, which contained a very important question!
The ceremony was our favourite part of the day. My uncle Philip is a deacon and was able to be our solemniser, which made the ceremony really personal and very emotional. His and my Aunty's marriage is so full of love that we knew we would be in good hands with him!
My brother-in-law also organised a surprise performance from Thurles Gospel Choir, modelled on the scene from Love Actually! Brass musicians popped up from within the crowd and the electric guitarist appeared in the gallery. They performed All You Need is Love by the Beatles and really set the fun tone for the rest of the day."
